SANTIAGO DE CHILE: Arrival and guided tour

Arrival in Santiago, Chile's capital, nestled at the foot of the Andes Cordillera and private transfer to your hotel. A guided tour of this metropolis where history and modernity intertwine: from the Palacio de La Moneda to Cerro San Cristóbal, via the Mercado Central and the bohemian neighbourhoods of Lastarria and Bellavista.

SANTIAGO - EASTER ISLAND: Domestic flight

Transfer to Santiago airport then flight to Rapa Nui. Our team welcomes you with flower garlands, as local tradition demands! A free end of day to acclimatise to the subtropical climate and admire your first Pacific sunset. Night in Hanga Roa.

EASTER ISLAND: Ahu Vaihu, Rano Raraku and Anakena Beach

An intense day of discovery! On the programme: Ahu Vaihu, an unrestored ceremonial site in Hanga Te'e Bay; Ahu Akahanga and the tomb of King Hotu Matua; Rano Raraku and its 400 Moai; the Ahu Tongariki site, nicknamed 'the Navel of the World'; then the white-sand beach of Anakena for a well-earned rest!

Day 4

EASTER ISLAND: Ahu Akivi and Puna Pau Volcano

Today, discover Ahu Akivi and its 7 Moai, uniquely turned towards the ocean rather than towards 'the people': a mysterious site where the statues gaze towards the sky. Then visit the Ana Te Pahu cave and the Puna Pau volcano, whose red volcanic rock was used to carve the topknots (pukao) that crown the Moai.

EASTER ISLAND: Orongo and Rano Kau Volcano

Your guide takes you to the ceremonial village of Orongo, perched on the flanks of Rano Kau volcano. The petroglyphs of Ana Kai Tangata and the site of Ahu Vinapu, whose perfectly cut stonework recalls Inca craftsmanship, are sure to leave you questioning everything you thought you knew about these ancient builders!

EASTER ISLAND - SANTIAGO - VALPARAÍSO

Transfer to the airport, where the islanders place around your neck the traditional shell necklace that marks your departure. VALPARAÍSO: Guided tour

Explore Valparaíso on foot with a passionate English-speaking guide: the mythical port city of 45 hills and colourful architecture, considered the South American capital of street art. Optional: a cookery workshop, an excursion to Viña del Mar, or a visit to La Isla Negra, Pablo Neruda's house-museum by the sea.

VALPARAÍSO: Casablanca Valley - SANTIAGO

Head for the Casablanca Valley, renowned for its vineyards and terroir. En route, stop at Villard vineyard for a guided tour of the estate and a wine tasting. Then drive back to Santiago for your last evening in Chile, with your guide's finest restaurant recommendations.
