When Is the Best Time to Visit Mexico?

Thanks to its tropical character, Mexico generally has a dry season and a rainy season (except in the mountain regions). July and August, during the summer school holidays, also see an increase in tourist activity. The months of June to September are best avoided due to the rainy season (though heavy, short-lived showers are becoming increasingly common year-round).

From October, the whales leave the North Pole and begin arriving in the warm Pacific waters at the turn of the year.
