Day 1

SANTO DOMINGO: International flight and arrival

On arrival at Santo Domingo or Punta Cana airport, you are welcomed and transferred to your hotel in the mythical Zona Colonial. Enjoy this first evening strolling the animated alleyways, sampling local gastronomy and soaking up the unique atmosphere of the Dominican capital.

Day 2

SANTO DOMINGO: Discovery by bike

With an English-speaking guide, set off to discover the city by bike: historic monuments, animated squares, the seafront and hidden treasures await. An original and dynamic way to absorb Dominican history and culture. Optional: experience the electric atmosphere of a baseball match (the national sport) if you are visiting between October and January.

Day 3

SANTO DOMINGO - JARABACOA: Hiking to the Jimenoa Waterfalls

After breakfast at the hotel, collect your hire car and drive to Jarabacoa, nicknamed 'the city of eternal spring'. Hike to the impressive Salto de Jimenoa waterfalls: one of which served as a location for the film Jurassic Park. A typical Jarabacoa lunch, then check in to a premium eco-lodge with mountain views and a private jacuzzi.

Day 4

JARABACOA: White-Water Rafting on the Yaque del Norte

Time for adrenaline! Kitted out with a lifejacket, helmet and paddle, you tackle the rapids of the longest river in the country on an unforgettable rafting descent. In the afternoon, enjoy the surrounding nature or relax at your eco-lodge.

JARABACOA - JAMAO AL NORTE: Local Immersion and Cacao Adventure

En route to the Puerto Plata province, stop at an organic cacao farm to discover the full chocolate production process, from plantation to finished bar. A typical Dominican lunch before heading to Jamao al Norte for a tent night with a local family: local dinner and a magical campfire evening under the stars.

Day 6

JAMAO AL NORTE - CABARETE: Canyoning, Kayaking or Tubing: Your Choice!

After breakfast with your hosts, choose your adventure: canyoning through the gorges, kayaking or tubing on the Rio Blanco. Then drive on to Cabarete, the iconic surfers' village, and check in to an eco-lodge by the ocean.

CABARETE: Free Day or Kitesurfing Lesson

A free day under the sign of wellbeing: yoga facing the sea, a spa massage, a swim in the pool or on the beach. For the more active, the option of a kitesurfing lesson in one of the world's finest spots.

Day 8

CABARETE - LAS GALERAS

An early departure for Las Galeras, with stops at the finest spots along the northern coast. Lunch with your feet in the sand, then check in to a unique eco-lodge with ocean views. Between January and March, keep your eyes open: humpback whales are passing through! Enjoy the pool and a gourmet dinner prepared by an excellent chef.

Day 9

LAS GALERAS: Boat Excursion and Beach BBQ - LAS TERRENAS

Set sail for Playa Frontón (a wild beach accessible only by boat) ideal for snorkelling and relaxation. A beach barbecue lunch, then discover Playa Madame and Playa Rincón before driving on to Las Terrenas, the jewel of the Samaná Peninsula.

LAS TERRENAS - SANTO DOMINGO or PUNTA CANA: International flight

Savour your last morning in Las Terrenas, a colourful village of paradise beaches. Free lunch, then transfer to Santo Domingo or Punta Cana airport. Want to extend the adventure? Opt for an extension on the Samaná Peninsula exploring Los Haitises National Park, the El Limón waterfall, or humpback whale watching (January to March).
