Your 2-week Argentina circuit continues as you take in the immensity of the sumptuous glacier region around El Calafate, before heading all the way north along the Andes Cordillera to Salta la Linda. In the company of Andean communities, you explore the Quebrada de Humahuaca and steep yourself in local culture.

USHUAIA: Tierra del Fuego National Park

This morning you head to Tierra del Fuego National Park by hire car: a full day between sea, woodland, lakes and mountains following the many hiking trails. In the evening, discover the delicious specialities of Ushuaia: giant king crab (centolla) and black hake!

USHUAIA: Beagle Channel – EL CALAFATE

This morning, head to the port of Ushuaia to sail to the Lighthouse of the Éclaireurs, 'the lighthouse at the end of the world' and watch sea lions in their natural habitat. After the cruise, transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to El Calafate, the land of Patagonian glaciers.

Day 5

EL CALAFATE: Perito Moreno Glacier

Head to Los Glaciares National Park for a full day exploring the Perito Moreno Glacier: a natural wonder reaching up to 70 metres! Listen with a shiver as blocks of ice calve into the turquoise waters of Lago Argentino. Option to spend the night at an estancia with a local family in Calafate.

EL CALAFATE - SALTA

Private transfer with driver to El Calafate airport for a domestic flight to Salta. After picking up your hire car, enjoy a free afternoon to discover Salta's historic centre and perhaps spend the evening at a Peña to hear live traditional Andean music!

Day 7

SALTA - CACHI - CAFAYATE: Calchaquí Valleys

After breakfast, set off in your hire car towards Cafayate via Cachi. On the programme: the verdant Cuesta del Obispo, the Piedra del Molino, Los Cardones National Park with its towering cacti, and the Quebrada de Las Flechas. In Cafayate, your hosts welcome you with a tasting of the region's high-altitude wines.

CAFAYATE - SALTA

This morning you can choose to explore the surroundings on foot accompanied by a member of the family, or learn one of their ancestral skills, which vary according to the time of year. After lunch, take the road back to Salta through the breathtaking Quebrada de las Conchas… a landscape that evokes the Grand Canyon!

Day 9

SALTA - HUMAHUACA: Salinas Grandes and homestay night

Head for the Salinas Grandes, one of the largest salt flats in the world. On the way back down, you can stop at the small village of Purmamarca and its Mountain of Seven Colours before continuing to Tilcara and Humahuaca. Your local guide welcomes you into an Andean community in the Quebrada de Humahuaca.

Day 10

HUMAHUACA - SALTA: Quinoa preparation

This morning you prepare 'Kinua' (a typical Andean dish) while learning to use traditional stone tools following an ancestral recipe. While the quinoa cooks, you discover the community's sheep and goat farming. After tasting your meal, you bid farewell to your hosts and take the road back to Salta.

SALTA - PUERTO IGUAZÚ

After breakfast, head to Salta airport for your flight to Iguazú. Welcome at Iguazú airport and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to soak up Argentina's most tropical region.

IGUAZÚ FALLS: One of the 7 Wonders of the World

Set off to discover the Argentine side of the Iguazú Falls with your local guide. Throughout your walk past 270 cascades, you will have the chance to spot coatis, butterflies and tropical birds. Option: get up close to the falls by speedboat, including the iconic Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat).
