Torres del Paine National Park, Chile

The great Torres del Paine National Park, world-renowned and ideal for hiking enthusiasts, is a wonder of nature. Situated between the Andes Cordillera and the Patagonian steppe in southern Chile, the park is a concentration of lakes, glaciers, waterfalls and mountains. It is also home to exceptional wildlife: the guanaco, the rhea, the puma and many other animals. This magnificent natural setting was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1978. Torres del Paine National Park is managed by the Corporación Nacional Forestal (CONAF), a Chilean state agency.

The W Trek in Chilean Patagonia

The W Trek is one of the most celebrated and world-renowned hikes in existence. It takes its name from the shape of its route which traces a ‘W’ across the park. The trek allows you to visit the most spectacular corners of Torres del Paine National Park, taking you deep into the massif via Lakes Nordenskjöld, Pehoé and Grey. To fully appreciate all 75 km of this trekking experience, we recommend completing it over 5 days.

If you have already completed the W Trek, ask us for our recommendations for other treks in Chile.
